What could be more fitting for a film about a kitchen, than to be awarded its first nomination in a country that values food and the kitchen as highly as Japan. Personally, I spent a week in Kyoto last year, and have so many fond memories of the old capital, made friends, and learned (ate) a lot - so I feel very honoured to have been nominated Semi-Finalist for this wonderful short script. The final decision will be made on July 4th, so fingers crossed!
